In Record Time
09/26/2013
Before the sun was up yesterday morning, I could hear the loud rumble of the combine in our soybean field behind the cabin.
Farmer JB was up-and-at-'em early, finishing up the beans he had started the night before.
Karter and Kaden were so excited to watch the huge machine mow down the dried soybeans and empty the golden nuggets into the big truck.
I have to admit, even at my age it is amazing to watch.
And by mid-day, he was finished.
Now I have to wash my windows. I've used that as an excuse all summer for not washing them since they always get filthy when the combines run. Guess I need to find another excuse...or actually wash my windows...
JB harvested the corn on September 18 and one week later, September 25, he ran the beans.
Our crops are all in.
In record time.
The first picture is beautiful!!
