Winding down our fabulous three-week trip to Peru, we knew beforehand that after the fun-but-hectic itinerary we'd need a couple of days to relax and unwind before we came home.
The Amazon jungle is an incredible place, so far removed from our normal life that it often felt like we'd been transported to another planet, another time.
Here's your trivia question for the day...What is a large group of parrots called? I had no idea...it's called a "pandemonium"! Crazy! I tried posting this video yesterday of the clay lick we hiked to in Peru, but the website got all wonky and I got frustrated and removed it. So thought I'd try it again, all by its lonesome. Enjoy the pandemonium!
Our third day in Peru's Manu National Park began very early, leaving before daybreak at 5:20 am. in the boat to beat the parrots that come each morning to this clay lick.
If you happened to be the driver of the one lone car motoring down our country road at 5:30 this morning, before the sun came up (and thankfully before the rain came down!), you might have witnessed yet another one of our crazy adventures.
