After watching hundreds of their big brothers' games since the day they were born 5 years ago, finally it was Kassie and Kelsey's turn to take the diamond.
And they were ready! The excitement for Opening Day had been building for weeks!
Kelsey wanted to hit the ball so badly...and after a few swings (there are no strike-outs in Pixie league) she finally did!
Kelsey scored just as Kassie came up to bat.
Open your eyes, Kass!
She did have a good little hit!
Big brothers watching...and I'm sure critiquing the little girls' play, as all boys seem to enjoy doing....
Kelsey played third base one inning and then suited up as catcher. What an adorable little catcher!
Kassie played shortstop and infield...she did a great job fielding and throwing the ball.
As always, there was as much happening in the dugout as on the field.
Kels trying to catch a short nap?
Those helmets do a number on a girl's looks! One of the duties of the dugout mom is fixing hair...
Those socks, though... And when my kids played, we thought the stirrup socks were cool!
Brothers Karter and Kaden got the jobs of passing out team treats.
Congratulations from their most adoring fans!
What a fun afternoon for our 5-year-old twins! It was...
...finally their turn.
