Fanning Springs Fun

Maria-9

My sister Maria recently bought a home in Fanning Springs, Florida, so Mama and I flew down for a few days to check out her new digs.

Maria picked us up from the nearby Gainesville airport.

Driving past the University of Florida on the way to Maria's house.  This is where Maria's son/my nephew Wyatt will be going to school in a couple of years.

Of course, first on the agenda is always a stop for food!  Lunch at the Copper Monkey...

Maria took us on a walk through her nice quiet neighborhood.

The clubhouse...

...complete with a very nice pool!  I'm sure Maria and her two kids will enjoy this all summer long.

Maria-11

Wyatt and his sister/my niece Seanna came home after school in his baby truck...

Maria-11

Mama climbed right up there and was chauffeured out for dinner...

Maria-11

...at the favorite nearby (and quite charming) 19/98 Grill.

Mama with her two Florida grandchildren.  Wyatt is 16 and Seanna is almost 13.

Maria-18

For the next few days, we spent a lot of time talking and lounging...

Maria-18

...and snacking on the Abbott's candy Mama brought along in her suitcase.

Mama never travels without snacks!

Maria-18

She was thrilled to see the tablecloth and curtain she made for Maria in use in her new home.

Maria-10

Maria has a nice shaded back yard.  A perfect home for her!

Maria-10

Aunt Terry braiding Seanna's hair before school one morning.  A little out of practice, but not a bad job if I do say so myself!

Maria-10

Seanna has grown so much even since we saw her last!  She's about to catch up to Mama!

More of our "adventures" (hey...we're easily entertained!) tomorrow...

Fanning Springs fun.
