October is a month full of birthday celebrations in the Gray family...yesterday was Kim's turn. The old man turned 62.

God blessed us with a beautiful spring (Peru is in the southern hemisphere, remember...) morning as we flew from Lima's international airport into the small airport of Iquitos in north eastern Peru to begin our first jungle adventure.
Iquitos is the world's largest city that cannot be reached by road, being linked to the outside world only by boat or air.
For three fabulous weeks in September, Kim and I experienced the wonderland that is the nation of Peru.
After two restful evenings in Knoxville, the four House girls (Mama and my two sisters and me) headed southeast to visit our Carolina peeps.
First stop: a visit with Mama's Aunt Harriett, 97 years old.
When the House girls (pictured here, the oldest two House girls...my sister Barb and me) make up their minds to do something, it happens.
The next-door Gray boys are finished with flag football...next year our 7-year-old Kaden will have to move up to join his older brother in the tackle league.
