Two years have passed since I published my first book, "Unsinkable," but I still enjoy occasional opportunities to share about the book and its subject, the late Winnie Nirich.
In May, I was invited to join a local book club meeting and flattered that they had chosen my book as their monthly read. I loved visiting and sharing with those fun gals!
Last week, my friend and neighbor and fellow-author Colette Huxford invited me to join her and a couple of other author friends for a book signing at the local Middletown Fair.
Colette (in the middle) has written four books, the latest one entitled "Lillian Frances" about her grandmother, who is holding her own memoir. Colette's mom Bonnie is on the far left.
All four of us live on the same road within 2 1/2 miles of each other, and we've been friends since Kim and I moved onto their country road 35 years ago. Bonnie's late husband Max farmed our land for a few years until his untimely death from brain cancer. Lillian is my closest neighbor on the other side of the road, and she owns the farmland adjacent to ours. We are country-connected!
I hesitated putting this photo in because I look like an AMAZON woman compared to these three very petite ladies! But it is what it is...
Fellow authors and friends Sandy Moore and Donna Cronk joined us at our book booth.
None of us sold oodles of books, but we all sold a few and enjoyed visiting with fair-goers.
So...for those who might be wondering...I'm finishing the final edits to my second book which will be published soon and available for sale in August.
I can hardly wait to share it with you! But I will wait...for a few more weeks.
Then once again, I will be...
