Summer officially begins in our area with the Middletown Fair...and everyone's favorite, of course, the big parade!
The stars of this year's parade, for this proud Gramaw, were these two cutie-pie baseball players, my grandsons Kaden (7) and Karter (almost 9).
While Mommy Dana took the boys to find their baseball float, my little beauties Kelsey and Kassie (4 1/2 years old) helped me save our viewing spot.
Rolling down the hill...
Kamaron and Anique and their two children walked the couple of blocks from their house to join us.
Three-year-old Krew had big stories to tell Gramaw...
...and Juni (22 months) was her adorable little self!
Here we go!
Kelsey and Kassie do not like the loud sirens. At. All.
Grand Marshall Dorothea Ballard just celebrated her 100th birthday!
For some unknown reason, Kassie is scared to death of the Desert Patrollers...
Our friend and pastor CJ with his softball team.
He owns Dad's old truck and keeps it shiny and spiffy! Never thought I'd see Dad's truck hauling a bunch of screaming girls in a parade.... Did my heart good!
Candy, candy, CANDY!!! Being at the start of the parade route, the kids got LOTS of candy!
Not one of my grandbabies, but the skating dog gave her quite a surprise!
Our little friend Christine is the cute girl in yellow with the big bow. Oh, and dark glasses!
I think this was Krew's favorite part of the parade...that boy is obsessed with mowers...
...and tractors. The bigger, the better! This monster was pulling....
...our boys' baseball team float.
Karter and Kaden are sitting on either side of Coach Travis.
Love the classic cars. Especially the red ones.
Our favorite cheerleader Abby, far left sitting on the tailgate...
I SOOO AGREE!!!!! Hi, church friend Peggy!
Cousin-in-law Jenny, manager of the local bank, smiling as always!
Antique tractors, a staple in an Indiana small town parade...
Our favorite queen contest!
Love you, sweet Sami! We're voting for YOU!!!
Even the horses were showing their patriotism!
It's officially summer!
